We want Akumudzi Bwaiz to be usable on mobile phones, slower networks, keyboards and assistive technology.
Our design aims to provide:
- readable text and strong contrast;
- visible keyboard focus;
- semantic headings and labels;
- alternative text for meaningful artwork;
- buttons that describe their action;
- captions or text information where audio alone would exclude important meaning;
- pages that work at increased zoom; and
- lightweight delivery for 3G connections.
Artists and administrators should add accurate alternative text when uploading artwork and photographs.
If a page, form, player or download cannot be used because of an accessibility barrier, contact us and describe the page, device and assistance needed. We will work to provide the information or service in a reasonable alternative format.
